The card reader is very valuable processed with anodized aluminum surface, really fast while still inexpensive. The cap can be, if the reader is plugged in, plug up. Very handy, because they will not be lost. In the description there is nothing of Mac compatibility. With some palpitations plugged, since the black Hama SD / microSD card reader USB 3.0 is a review here because it allegedly did not work on Mac: Connect it to Mac OS X Lion - recognized 16GB SDHC. That's how it should be. The black card reader is not identical with this one! A small disadvantage I have yet found: On my MacBook the USB slots are very tight. Since the card reader is too wide when both slots are used simultaneously. By extension, but not a problem, hence no deduction. The SD card is out standing sideways logically with a width of only 23 mm. Summary: With this card reader I am very satisfied and would buy it immediately.
