But the main reason why I use it is the huge energy-efficiency and size.
I run it, inter alia, mobile, bolted to normal speakers with LiPo batteries from the RC section (3x3.7V cells) as well as at festivals with a gel battery. With my 86Ah battery I've long day at high volume through (!) Belongs without the battery ever exhausted. When I think that my Denon AVR draws already over a hundred watts, if I only anschalte him and not even running music, so this is extremely remarkable. The true power of Lepai is estimated to 2x 13 watts of continuous power per channel. That might sound little to the layman, but it is suitable for most small to medium sized boxes imho more than enough! Grandma's old tailor 3-way speakers can thus have more than ausreizen. And very efficient Boxem fly an off ears. For comparison, the 250 expensive Bose SoundDock delivers only 1x15Watt and manages with efficient speakers so high level to produce that it is really too loud (!) Will be able to enjoy it yet (but this also due to the poor sound quality of Bose products is;)) .. Consumption is the Lepei only about 10-20% higher than the output power, depending on the volume and input voltage - which is amazing!
I like the thing so well, I have bought by now 4 piece of it, which I have but 2 sold to friends. One I have in the bedroom, the other in the kitchen, which can be used when needed for mobile. I will, however, soon even buy a erneugt.
