I have found some useful details or tips for use:
This bin actually works in 3 modes:
Automatic: This is the normal operation, simply close hand within 10 cm, it opens and closes automatically.
Semi-automatic: it is possible (when empty a dirty plate, for example), the user action exceeds the expected timing and the lid closes, because the infrared sensors are both directed outward (this which is understandable). In this case, it is sufficient to gently push the cover upwards. Then the lid remains in the open position. Then board your hand near the sensor, the lid closes and resumes automatic operation.
Manual: with the buttons open / close if you want to keep the lid open and close manually.
The exterior stainless steel is beautiful and the perfect finish. However, after a few weeks, the top (which is in stainless steel look plastic, because a stainless steel cover would be too heavy to be motorized) tends to make iridescent due to oil smoke from the kitchen, dust etc .. . My tip: place a drop of dishwashing liquid on damp paper towel to wipe off the top to degrease. The upper part then finds a flawless appearance, the iridescent Spots can easily and remove traces of foam washing up liquid with a sponge or a damp, clean cloth (do not flush because there are electronic components and batteries at the top) and then dry with a dry paper towel.
For batteries, I opted for high-capacity rechargeable batteries type Tensai 1000 mAh and battery charger, which cost me more than the trash, but at least no problems of autonomy or subsequent costs.
I have not seen any accidental opening of the cover due to too sensitive sensors unlike other users, sensors are perfect in my case, and the lid closes well without letting out odors.
Finally, and this is significant, the metal hoop provided inside helps keep smaller sacks. I use the model 50 L of this garbage in my temporary housing, but with bags 20 L (compatible in size with the garbage disposal).
Fit the two lugs black plastic at the ends of the hoop one above the other to close the hoop, place the bag inside the hoop by rolling up the edges of the bag and once the bag in place in the trash, unlock the 2 black studs hoop, which then presses the bag against the inner wall of the garbage and prevents the bag from falling to the bottom bucket. Very well thought out ... because it allows for a high trash can accommodate bags of all capacities (up to 50 L in my case).
