I have now tested in the rain and the mud, and I am very satisfied. It is robust enough (several shocks) through its not too rigid design and protects from splashes as well from the top (front part of the fender) than at the bottom.
I had to tighten the screws after xx exits and it holds.
I did not pay attention to look by purchasing but apparently according to other mountain bikers but it gives the look motocross ....
