Superb discovery of magnificent concertos that deserve to be known as the 4 seasons. Supported by the Venice Baroque Orchestra (! City Vivaldi) under the baton of Andrea Marcon, Giuliano Carmignola is currently one of the best performers of Vivaldi: superb tone, spectacular virtuosity, tremendous passion in fast passages and soft feeling in the slow movements. I recommend just as other Vivaldi disks same performers: 4 seasons + 3 concertos, the other disc of late concertos and concertos with Viktoria Mullova double.
