The new PSP version is a complete remake in the sense that it is the game mechanics in almost
changed every area, and even improved in most cases.
In addition, a new and improved English translation, new missions and characters.
Only the graphic has been hardly touched, both a minus and a plus.
A minus Punk is because, in contrast to, for example, Jeanne D'Arc with its modern 3D graphics Cell Shade
enormous outdated looks.
An advantage but also because the original by the retention of the old lovingly designed Sprites
Flair of the game is not lost. The playing cards have been adopted without change; by the type of
artistic design, they are very good though aged and still beautiful.
But have been improved spell effects, and the overall flow of the game is faster with virtually non-existent loading sequences.
The original is notorious for its difficulty, and who is the remake too heavy can a new system at any time up to 50 trains
go back to try a new strategy.
The characters are very diverse, there are few extremely good or extremely bad, it may be that you kill a famous artist in the fight, which was unfortunately at the wrong group, or a father who wanted to earn as mercenaries money for his sick daughter.
Accordingly, some decisions are also difficult, one is more loyal and takes the suffering of others as a necessary evil in buying or is it his own way, but loses any very good friends. This narrative seriousness has its charm, as the majority of other games are drawn rather black and white, and Tactics Ogre highlights here.
Features Pros:
+ Hardcover artbook
+ Mini Soundtrack CD with 6 tracks
+ Dt. Instructions in color
The only negative point is the lack of German translation of the game.
For those who can deal reasonably with English, but it is in my opinion still a 5 star title.
