I used this antenna mainly acquired so because my rubber seal the original antenna was weggegammelt and I had to worry about a flooding here. My Golf IV 1J1 even sleeps outside. The fit of the foot is in itself very good and the rubber seal is also located 100 Pro. Since the cable is quite thick, I have it, as opposed to the side carrying the thin original cable routed through the screw, so as not to squeeze. The cable is, at least for the Golf IV 1J1, long enough and the plug fits properly without tinkering. The antenna rod is also like the Golf IV antenna, possibly even a bit more flexible in appearance and dimensions. Now the most important is the reception. I can the old antenna no, neither positive nor negative, difference determine there with me, too, the rubber was only weggegammelt. So I can recommend this antenna only as a true replacement. Who after the installation of this antenna still has difficulties should the error for a bad reception look elsewhere!
