Far Cry is not the umpteenth tasteless FPS released on console. This is a gem next to which I almost pass (I think even today to acquire the previous album so the gaming experience was conclusive). Do not make this mistake!

Far Cry what then? This is a game that offers
- A single-player mode (story). In my view, the centerpiece beside which it is important not to pass.
- A cooperative mode, very nice to spend time with friends
- A competitive online mode unfairly described as "the cheap, not innovative"

THE COOPERATIVE
The cooperative game mode allows up to 4 players online. It has a script of its own, taking part in the world of solo mode (on the island, with its residents / occupants), but having absolutely nothing to do with it. The scenario and the game atmosphere is much lighter / simple. Action "Hollywood blockbuster" with a scenario agreed at the Battlefield: well put together but nothing transcendent. This is exactly what one asks a cooperative mode: simplicity for everyone to enjoy the scenario without the hurry are wearied by extension sequences.

And technique? Graphically, we resumed the game engine, understand by this a splendid universe. The missions are a little corridor that the single player. It does not suffer any lag or slowdown. This is scripted, but scripts are not repeated. The difficulty and playability are dosed with onions: you do not get excited to remake the game constantly. COMPETITIVE MODE
I read right and left that the competitive mode was not original, was not worth the other etc etc ... In short, as usual when it is not stamped "call of" or possibly "battlefield "this is not good. It was the classic game modes, however, with some originality, including the ability for a player to fully create the card. If the choice of the parties is not optimal and the number of players short of tenors of the genre, for the rest it is a pure pleasure. Play arenas are perfectly designed for a good balance between competitors.

The gameplay is perfectly balanced, halfway between a call of regarding the speed and responsiveness of the characters and a battlefield for cards that are much larger and varied. We can address some of many ways, there is not a clear path, typically to win a game, everything depends on the style of each team (defensive, offensive, individual, collective). The maps are large enough to allow this variety without it we lose. It can bypass an opponent to take a setback. The classes are simple (sniper, nag, mixed in summary) and allow for varied style of play and each has own without being cartoonish (no avenue sniper or blitzkrieg). The perks are pretty simple, a call of less varied, but after all, this allows a quick dip, and focuses more on how you want to address that part of the assets to have at all costs.

Well, technically, the game is still as beautiful and without any lag (6 vs. 6 players maximum) is appreciable. In short, a good bonus that can spend time pleasantly.

THE SOLO MODE
Attention masterpiece! When you start, you can not get out. Expect around thirty minutes to fold it up and down and across. In advance, know that my comments do not give honor to the mastery of the gameplay. It is close to perfection. Where to start?

Deuce you will understand, if the immersion in a game is important to you, FAR CRY is perfect. I would bring the BIOSCHOCK the excellent but the latter's exceptional universe does not evolve as much as in FAR CRY. I would say two different styles, but in terms of quality, we reached the same care taken by the developers.

And technique: Fantastic! I happen to be often critical, but there, not .... It's beautiful, fluid, it feels no load times, automatic backups are done smoothly. In thirty hours of play I had A crash that made me lose 5 minutes ... With a vast and varied universe, one approaches a GTA or Assassin's Creed in scope and term sense of freedom, beauty of the scenery and atmosphere. There is a variation day / night, the climate is changing too. You can have fun and to contemplate a starry sky standing out of a dive underwater, or have only desire, to go dry while the storm rages. The day / night cycle is quite fast and climates changes not you lock it, just time to feel.

Exploring the island, as long as the spider monkey is it shows varying passages. And yes, in this FPS I found myself exploring with pleasure, like a Tomb Raider or Assassin's Creed to fetch hidden bonus here or there. At the bottom of a submerged cave on top of a mountain that must be climbed. Yes, you read me. I speak of a FPS, yet it contains the Explorer Bar.

This game is a true concentrate of gameplay. In the manner of a RPG (and lighter) you upgrade your equipment by driving to make you outfit elements. You will supercharge the actions you can perform or ability (shooting resistance, duration of apnea, sprint speed, attacks abilities ...). There is a certain similarity with Assassin's Creed.

Another glaring similarity, the card is revealed to the radio antenna wire you disabled. In Assassin's Creed, you climb on observation points. Related tasks can be performed, some of which is triggered by turning on a panel side missions. I love Assassin's Creed, including his world. Well aware that if the tropical island naturally makes me shudder under the Italian cities, I must admit that the feeling of freedom and not directed is more obvious. One feels compelled to perform any mission. Were carried out because we want to, because of course, we think it will be beneficial to gain experience. Our warrior instinct is revealed gradually, naturally. To believe that the scenario is built up progressively. Just as AC, there is no need to travel the island by clicking on the map on specific spawns. Load times are so small we do willingly, or not ...

Question gameplay, it will also lead cars / hang-gliding or we will make wing-suit jumps how best jump ... IF DESIRED, nothing is imposed, everyone is free to explore and do pleasure according to his tastes. Personally I could not resist the temptation to throw myself off a cliff to make a parachute jump before attacking a base. Parachute triggered late to avoid being seen. Sensations guaranteed.

What can I say ... That sound world is not boring, it's mesmerizing, I have one wish, procure the soundtrack. FPS phases (because yes, after all there) are not easy but as far generates no frustration. The missions are absolutely not repetitive. However, we do not seek to make original at all costs. No, the missions serve the script, and it serves gameplay.

In short, with Mass Effect 2, Assassin's Creed, GTA IV, Battlefield and Modern Warfare, this game is one of my best experiences of genres. If anything it combines all perfectly. But how is it possible to do so as well, simply and naturally.

PS: I am not working for Ubisoft, I have no work at home. My enthusiasm is certainly exaggerated, but when a game is good, you have to drive the nail on his qualities and not playing jaded. If you like to play, if you like the immersive story well put together, a competitive mode strand well agrémenterait sauce, this is the game for you.
