Carrying case
The package was manhandled by La Poste, but the tool was not damaged, thanks to its very solid carrying case. It contains the tool with a small box of accessories. The adaptations are simply provided in plastic bags; they have no specific locations in the case. They are therefore less protected, but on the other hand, it is possible to add other accessories.
Getting Started
The tool is quite heavy, but it is well in hand. There are several areas of rubber to prevent slipping hands.
Installation accessories
The Dremel 4200 has a mandarin that does not need to be screwed; simply press two small tabs to introduce the desired accessory. This is fine for now; I hope that the springs that hold not be weary in the future.
Testing
Once the accessory (disk, forest, or other) in place, we can start. The speed is adjustable by a single knob. The tool is easy to use and very effective.
Documentation
The big disappointment is the documentation. Despite the slogan "Big on detail" (in great detail), the documentation is rather skimpy. The CD provided is interesting, but concerns all but the 4200 model!
The printed manual is not much better. Page after page of safety warnings with only a page and a half of information about the tool. The few important information may be lost as a result (for example, five minutes Recommended break). There are ten pages of illustrations, most of which have not even been redone for the model 4200. These illustrations are accompanied by any text.
Do visit the Dremel website to know the characteristics of different accessories (including applications and recommended maximum speeds). The expert knows, no doubt, but for a neophyte like me, it really is not obvious. In my opinion, this information should be provided with clear product.
