Here is a book of great interest. The Dialogue From Vanquished is a mine of information to know us two personalities, two journalists from the duck interwar Je Suis Partout, Pierre-Antoine Cousteau (aka pac, brother of the underwater explorer Jacques -Yves Cousteau) and Rebatet, talented writer and critic. Two men who had chosen the camp would now be called "cursed" camp men pro-fascist regimes and national-socialist, authoritarian, militarist camp hostile to democracy, to mercantile capitalism, Bolshevism, the bourgeois mind, but also to stateless persons, to the Anglo-American finance, to Gaullism. In short everything to be hated Winners 39/45 and their judges.

The book brings twenty tasty dialogues Cousteau and Rebatet locked in Clairvaux prison and taking place in the year 1950. Moult topics are covered by the two "fascists" caustically like religion (mostly Catholic), literature Sartre, Hitler and the fall of Germany, prison life, homosexuality, Roosevelt history ...

Reading their dialogues, not at all boring, allows us to better understand their personalities, their tastes, their disappointments, their ideological commitment, their disillusionment, their journey. The Catholic religion is not spared, as Sartre, the imperialist policy of the United States and still a lot of things. Rebatet Cousteau and feel no regret for their ideas and their ideological commitment on the side of the Axis.

This book is a very good complement to learn more about Pierre-Antoine Cousteau and especially Rebatet friend of Celine and Brassillach art critic, film (aka François Vinneuil) and music respected author of (violent) pamphlet and best -seller during the occupation, namely The Rubble but especially author of the novel The Two Standards (written in prison), one of the finest novels of the twentieth century literature.
