I just finished this book and I loved it! In fact, I did not want it to end. The author certainly plays to lose us in time and space through history and Europe. But after a few seconds of bewilderment, quickly we fall back on our feet. It's amazing, but it prevents read without thinking, to swallow the words without taking back. It is very well written and very well translated, with humor, a real treat to read, real beautiful text. The issue of trans-generational guilt is treated with tenderness and humanity; the evil man is capable is addressed without concession nor false modesty. The book reads very well despite its thickness which I have realized that at the end. It is a book that will mark Wonderful Life more than one of its readers. A big thank you to the author and his translator!
