Firstly, this pilot is well made, and the 3 leading ladies have a credible chemistry. The plot has an old cookbook with magic power in the center. So what is most often used to disguise lack of real plot. But here is not the case, the magic here is dependent on the children applying good deeds - exactly as in real life!
