Exciting photographic documents explained and décriptés

A book that presents us with old photographs on the German occupation during the second world war, it is already interesting in itself. But when more these images from Nazi propaganda, is decrypted and analyzed for us, it gets exciting. How the occupant has consistently blurred the violence, repression or suffering - and with tremendous efficiency - to accept his presence at the population literally is cold in the back.

The book is powerful and direct. The analyzes are fascinating

This book is a good introduction to develop proficiency in the analysis of the image, skills that can be very useful to analyze visual information ever present in our media and the Internet. For there is no doubt that the propaganda means in use at the time still continue to dazzle us or we fall asleep ...

However, I have a little on my hunger, because the construction of the book offers a double page per image: actual photography and, vis-à-vis his commentary (that propaganda wants to show vs. what we can read today). It leaves a nice spot in the image, which is fundamental, but the comment is sometimes reduced to its bare minimum and we would sometimes have searched more development.
