My goal was to move a Freebox TV and a WD TV media box to the other side of the same coin. The LC TV box does not allow to have the HD and the image sometimes froze (power quality or disturbance? ...), I opted for an "extension" wifi, but finally after failure I returned to the CPL.
So next flow and use 100% satisfied. I did not measure the actual flow rate (displayed 444Mbit / s with the Devolo software), but the result is an HD image from the TV box and unhindered use of the WD TV box wireframe. These two devices are connected to Devolo with 2 of these 3 ports, while the other Devolo case (1 port) is connected directly to the ADSL box.
There is an application for download on the website to update the CPL boxes, but even without the update, the transfer-Video TV worked great. The software downloaded on a Windows computer is very simple and only detects the boxes it is possible to name :-) Without doubt useful with several boxes, but with two it is of little use.
The pros:
- Electrical plug / socket
- Possibility of the tumble box: ports up or down.
- Super fast and super simple installation: no configuration, just plug
- LEDs it is possible to switch off
- No overheating, one feels not only in active mode
- Quality manufacturing
- Assistance delivered and that available from the app
- Network cables included in the box
- Possibility of a password via the software: I do not know if it's a ... more
The -:
- The size of enclosures
The lack:
- The software displays data rates, but not power consumption. See a flow figure is practical information, "pretty" and certainly useful in a multi architecture housings or with a deficient power grid. But when it works, it is useless to have the nose above. By cons, a state of consumption generated by the case would be an interesting metric in time!
