I left with a very negative priori on Napoleon III: surely some 120 years of Republic have definitely destroyed the last vestiges of the few Erites me of the Empire and saturated our memories of ridiculous clichés. And yet, surely thanks to the skill of caring Pierre Milza I found fascinating history, the springs of its development and mad temerity with which he clings to the idea to conquer a poorly maintained power by the people.
