Both the write right away: this book has absolutely no interest. It nevertheless remains perfectly readable, entertaining and probably less difficult for readers that I, or for those who are still in full trip of Cycle Ender, Volume 1: Ender's Game. Orson Scott Card is a great writer, but unfortunately it is on AC power. In the Ender universe, besides the aforementioned novel, and The Ender Round, Volume 2: White Noise (the work of Card Manager), only shadows Saga, Book 1: The Strategy Shadow offers a real interest. All other novels (including this one) are more or less big disappointments (sometimes huge). To return to this particular novel, it is completely devoid of suspense, intrigue are sad and without scale, it does not develop any affect for the characters (they conceal their thoughts throughout the book, the author has taken the party not we share them either, which is probably the worst method which is to involve the reader emotionally). The author is customary due: he thinks he has created enough of affect for his characters in earlier novels, and it does not develop at all, they live on their "lived". Except that the reader often has only fragmentary memories of reading, and we can not still require reread all the novels that precede this one to appreciate the true value ... Not knowing what to make of the character of Valentine (Ender's sister), Orson Scott Card is an unstoppable trick: it makes him write a "War beetles" throughout the duration of the book. One can easily imagine what Orson Scott Card when his wife needs him to do the dishes he writes. Unfortunately, he writes exile. So we find the character of Ender the edge of caricature: a small engineering tortured, beat, which includes all, who really is "too strong", and carries all the pain of the world on your shoulders without wanting to share. Under these conditions, everything is entirely predictable, artificial and disembodied. More than a novel, the book resembles the assembly of three separate stories, all of a mediocre level, flavored (very) long haul to link with the events taking place on earth. With great difficulty, this book hangs Card to the Ender universe, sweating blood and water, and not succeeding, so it prevents the end of the book he changes the Chapter 15 Ender strategy, the book he wrote in 1985 ... (you can download it on his website). Mind boggling. I pass rapidly over the usual sermons Mormons Card, as heavy as redundant: in addition to the now famous "multiply, you reproduce that life to spread" the main theme of the whole saga is guilt that weighs on the shoulders of Ender, (guilty of genocide by winning at a computer game) and his quest for redemption. I will be kind and call this "work" work for food: it is a big cake flour, butter cream dripping happens on the table at the end of a gourmet meal. No need to try me helpings, I'm not hungry. A read only if you have much appetite for the Ender universe, but you risk indigestion.
