expensive and little effect

In my aquarium the filter is unable to keep the water "Crystal Clear", as the manufacturer claims. On the contrary, although I 9 weekly exchanges of 30 liters, it is yellow and smells like pee too.
After one week the filters are already so congested that it is running on. You can wash him, but then he holds only 1-3 days.

Better alternative:
Remove the two original filter inserts. Then two bales Filterwatte superimposed stuck in the filter housing. After a week, throw away the lower bale-turvy place a new cotton ball above.
That's 100 times cheaper and works better. Since my water is clear, the aquarium looks at first glance from a beautiful and it does not smell. I mean, the fish also act less stressed - can ask them not unfortunately :-)

Now that I have consumed 12 original filter, and 2 months much better can cope with the batting, I stay with the cotton.
