I too have long thought to buy the handle.
After the change of the Nikon D70 to the Nikon 1 V1 I lacked grip on the housing.
The handle has given me. Now it's perfect.
I can recommend to handle any V1 users, especially if the VR Nikkor 10-100 mm 1: 4.5-5.6 is the chassis.
