Positives:
+ The materials used and the processing are high quality and shows little signs of wear after 3 years
+ Very safe but still flexible (carabiner + eyebolt) camera mounting in tripod thread
+ The camera is always at hand, but is behind the hand, rather inconspicuous on the side
+ In motion changes the camera does not beat in the chest, but can swing freely.
+ Even on longer tours is the camera / lens weight bearable by the wide, padded shoulder pads. So much better than that of a normal belt.
Good to wear and apply + under a backpack
+ Belt length for my height of 196cm and thick winter clothes more than adequate.
+ Unobtrusive design without screaming colorful prints
+ Very good protection against theft
Negatives:
- Very Poor: both straps hold the set length not that Blackrapid-Stop system is unusable in practice with a DSLR and standard zoom lens (EOS 6D + 24-70).
(Receiving no feedback, test their products do not)?
After a very short time they slip off to the maximum length of the webbing. The camera hangs then too deep and disturbing.
I helped myself and fixed the two straps with 2 seams on the ideal length for me.
- Value for money is wrong, overpriced product.
Conclusion:
Great concept, unfortunately, with serious shortcomings, also much too expensive.
The inflated price and the lack of length fix the straps (here has improved in 3 years production apparently nothing, because a recently delivered here Review describes the same defect) concerns 2 points deduction.
Since I have found nothing on the market even better, it is the lack to live, or to improve own contribution to pay the high price, or alternatively walk around with the original belt.
