Expensive? Yes, but also no alternative.

The thing about the price is certainly an issue and could be a point deduction. However, any purchaser of Rösle series is aware what he was getting himself: In well-made, concerted (except for the double hook which is useless) products where one has a lifetime pleasure.

We have 4 of these magnets. For small always-handy kitchen knife above all. The large sharp kitchen knife 24cm would stick to it, this is, however, safe in the drawer. The magnet is clamped as the hook to the bar, where it holds safely without slipping.

My parents have six of these magnets for 15 years (maybe 20) and hold still as good as my new.
Therefore: A useful addition to the kitchen Rösle bar.
