Extraordinary book, a must read

This book begins to date (2004, French translation 2005) but it is still relevant.
Whether you have or not knowledge in physical science, this book is so well written that it can be read by beginners in this field, provided of course that one is motivated.
Brian Greene displayed a sense of pedagogy unusual.
It does not use mathematics to explain, teach, topics. However, the end of the book contains a collection of notes, very provided, which Brian Green refers throughout playback. This collection of notes deepens topics for the interested reader. Here of course we find math.
Topics range of special relativity, general, and quantum physics occupies a very large part, then string theory, black holes, cosmology in general, the big bang, and many other subjects.

This book provides an important philosophical additional lighting. Brian Green does not take part, it explains very clearly the physical and philosophical, the impacts of discoveries, presenting different schools of thought on the matter.

Whenever a sensitive subject, complex, is discussed, for example "the relevance of the reality," the illusion of "time", it uses different metaphors, suitably adapted, which greatly assist in understanding of these concepts our brain refuses a priori.

I am 6 or 7th reading this book once a year on average I refreshed the neurons that tend to bind to the daily experience, this book is absolutely indispensable to those who can put their convictions into question . Again, it is an exceptional pedagogy, Brian Green had the happy audacity to address very complex issues here exhaustively, and managed.
