Contraindications:
- Yellowish image of non-HDMI sources
- Confusing manual
- Complicated user interface
- Mirror-image in bright rooms
- Lightweight Clouding
- 3D image flickers slightly
The extremely slim device appears to be viewed from the front like a big, black crystal only of glass and is a real eye-catcher.
Those who like to deal with technology, is also likely to have otherwise his joy with this visually appealing device. The image provides rich colors and dynamics, and for almost every need there is a setting option. Who contrast technique just use instead wants to hire, might despair in the face of extremely confusing manual and the poorly managed user interface.
For example, the station sorting not to see "Transmitter", but this is to look under "Smart Hub". And for some settings you need as opposed to previous Samsung TVs now many keystrokes on a "Tools menu" on the remote control. Who has this complicated user interface and the poor manual only crime? For me, the biggest drawback of the device.
In a dark room you get an incredibly bright image, in bright rooms the display reflects this unfortunately. The now and then complained "Clouding" through the identification plate on the edge backlight is noticeable to me only in the darkness and hardly relevant.
The picture from HDMI sources is fantastic example of BluRay player or game console. One should not activate in my experience the "Game Mode" or the sharpness functions of Samsung, otherwise fonts are harder to read, especially in web browsers for consoles. For non-HDMI sources the picture for me unfortunately affects yellowish. This can be corrected on the "Color Space" setting, but this is likely many normal users overburden (but probably not likely to notice the yellow cast).
Order must be this TV to 3D glasses you should, because the effect is despite slight flickering (especially in bright rooms) amazingly, even of 2D image sources that can supplement tricky a 3rd dimension of Samsung. I recommend this, the shutter glasses SSG-3100GB, since this budget model can be operated with cheap button cells and consequently no built-in battery will be out sometime. This lightweight shutter glasses is well suited for eyeglass wearers.
Conclusion: The TV is a sight for sore eyes, and technicians can set up everything as desired. However, users with no technical knowledge might despair in the face of at times complicated operation and poor manual.
