The delivery was accustomed quickly. From there it was even worse. In delivery included neither the USB and power cables are still a manual. The installer on the CD constantly depends on (MacOS 10.8), you have to manually install the drivers, but this is no problem. The enclosed setup cartridges rich just yet for a detailed functional test for approximately 10 Photo Print (2 times 13x17cm mounted on A4) is the first cartridge. The print quality even on expensive photo paper is not in the stages "fine" and "extra-fine" really good, clear horizontal stripes can be seen in each case. Only in the overlying settings "High / Best quality" one sees no faults, the pressure of an A4 page then needed but 4-7 minutes (!). The print quality is also in the best settings always the achievable with the old Canon Pixmas, Black will never be printed as a really deep black, and the sharpness could also be better. In direct comparison, even the very cheap Canon MG3250 hit better, at less than half pressure time per side.
The biggest Hammer However, the ink starvation after the setup cartridges were all I have used so-called XL cartridges, on the front of the stands tall the number "450" for the number of so allegedly printable color pages. Now I see that in the photo printing more color is consumed, but that after 40-50 A4 pages (2 photos á 13x17cm on a sheet), a color cartridge is empty, I find more than brazen, the "value pack" with the XL cartridges still costs nearly 50 euros.
Conclusion for me: in the area of A4 printer currently infected the worm in it, the printing costs are increasingly expensive, the printing quality can be even after. For letters and co. the printers are well suited for more. Whether I keep the Epson I do not know, every now and then I need but even a few quick photo prints and the alternatives do not look really better, unless you are willing to spend much more for a (A4) printer.
