Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Part I) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Three long years after "Glorious Burden", the riff-God from the States, Jon Schaffer reported back with "Framing Armageddon Something Wicked Part 1" of 2007. Also on board was re-Tim "The Ripper" Owens on vocals. To set the mood for a short time appeared before the mini-CD "Overture Of The Wicked" (see my Rezi).

The story of "Framing Armageddon" has already been told in detail by other reviewers. Just as much, it's like the sequel to "Something Wicked This Way Come" 1998 levels.

Jon Schaffer is a really good work done. A great riff after another. He also has gathered good musicians around him. Especially the Ripper again delivers top-notch performance. He screams and sings the hell out of them. Playing tips are `Something Wicked Part 1`,` A Charge to keep`, `Ten Thousand strong`,` `The clouding` and framing armageddon`. Especially `The clouding` is large class. The song starts as a ballad and then increases enormously.
However, the album sometimes draws badly. The many brief pieces are not always succeeded. Sometimes the work is a little `the Puste` from.

Overall, "FA Something Wicked Part 1" a really strong album, but with little weaknesses, so I forgive good 4 stars. If the whole thing would have been a bit firmer inziniert, would have been possible.

Good news and bad news. In December `07 Tim Owens had to go. For Matt Barlow is the new old singer. This is directly Einsingen the second part of "Something Wicked".
