but in fact the fan disturbing! But first things first; I have for some time HK receivers in use, so far I had an AVR 260 in use (before a AVR 3000), however untenrum somewhat "weak" was or it unconvincing managed my 4 floorstanding speakers incl. the slightly stronger failed Centre for convincing me to drive. Therefore, I have long flirted with the 660 or 760 ....... now I have a good hand bought 760 here at Amazon and I knew that there had to be a "hook", who sold otherwise as a device for less than 30% of the price? Of course, the well-known fan was a problem, the rattled audibly and I had to google a bit, until I found this thread: [...] - here the very simple replacement of the fan has been well described that I transposed immediately into action. Not bad I was amazed when the AVR AFTER the fan has been replaced almost as "rattling" as before! The cause was that of 760 as opposed to 660 still has a second, smaller fan, which cools only GPUs Faroudja unit. This tiny 30mm fan made the really annoying noise! Mir is incomprehensible how such an a device in this class - can incorporate botch - sorry! Now the small fan was even through this here; psc = 1 & Smid = A24H9LHURMS641 replaced along with series resistor, and now is rest! Replacing the smaller fan is actually so simple that it can make any halfway skilled handyman, simply take off the cover and on the left side, unscrew the small fan and replace it with the new. From the outside (with cover) can not be seen by the way the fans.
Now I can enjoy the sound of the AVR, and there is no better AV receiver if you want to drive extremely large speaker! The power of the AVR 760 is just phenomenal !!!
