I was looking for a router to stick behind my cable modem, to have complete control over my local network and replace a D-Link Gigabit switch. Also have WiFi AC not too expensive. Then I read articles recognizing the reliability of ASUS reouteurs. so I opted for this model handed by day and boosts the AC and wifi usb3. The menus are very clear and simple, highly automated config. I easily open ports, adds safeties, although almost everything was active by default. I tried connecting an external USB2 and USB3 disk (not simultaneously) and installs the extension of firmware storage as request by the wizard. The perf are average, but it supports ext4 with GPT for 3TB and more. Warning! it only supports a disc saw and a score, so if you want to raid, choose an external box that makes the way materielle and present a single partition to the router and all will be well.
