I've tried this stand, and neither the HTC Desire (matt surface) nor the HTC Desire S (smooth metal surface) adhere the suction cup well enough to the phone actually for more than one to be able to stand two minutes.

The illustration shows the stand even with an iPhone with glass back, as it may work - but a normal smooth metal or plastic surface is not enough, in my experience.

The return and refund of the purchase price by "Prince Memory" worked impeccably.
