I have a 10-liter fermentation pot. From this size, it makes real sense to go up a planer. The Buchholz is, as far as I can judge this, untreated. It lubricates it before the first use and thereafter regularly. The plane is well made. The blades are bolted and therefore theoretically interchangeable, only I know where you could get compensation ... The blades are very sharp, so be careful when oiling, planing and cleaning. The side rails are glued, but this is not in careful handling so bad. I have been twice recognized sauerkraut and used this planer. Especially with the rather low price of about 15 incl. Shipping, I am completely satisfied.
