Dorian Gray, an innocent Mlchbubi from the country will take up his inheritance in London. He gets caught under the (negative) influence of Lord Wotton, the umerzieht him almost like a kind of Satan from the righteous timid citizens to reckless hedonists. And then also the fact that Dorian stops by magic to age and leave wounds in him no Naren. For ages a painting portrait of him, which he relegated to the attic. He is blessed with eternal youth and immortal quasi now but even more so ruthless and vicious.
A faithful to the original film version of Oscar Wilde's story one should not expect here, also not too profound Psychologisierungen, although the story had this kind certainly lent. The film succeeds in it but effortlessly entertain. What is not least on the quality reconstruction of London around the turn of the century and the hypnotic music of genius Charlie Mole. For the latter, I speak from a Soundtrack acquisition recommendation.
