With the wide-angle lens of the camera are provided, inter alia, further diffusing reflectors for IR LEDs. The installation is, as described by others, a fumble, but manageable. 30 - 60 minutes you have to expect. One should not try to make up the ladder on the spot. The result is OK by day. The sharpness of detail decreases, which is in the nature of a wide-angle lens (larger image section on same number of megapixels). The rude awakening came at night. It looked as if the lens would fog up. It took a few hours and costs some nerve, to me the reason is clear: the new, wider scattering lenses on the infrared LEDs throw their light on the sun / rain shield one's own camera, from there then comes the light into the camera lens and makes the image unusable at night. Since it does not help that the housing of my camera is painted black. Ultimately I had to the normal IR lenses welcome back (which are mounted at factory settings) ... only the edges of the image are largely unausgeleuchtet. Other alternatives: to sun / rain roof dispense entirely or external IR illuminator mount.
