Joe [Soundtrack] (Audio CD)

Customer Review

So far I have not seen the (acclaimed) film, but after a short listening very own pictures, which did not want to disappear so quickly arose in my mind. This soundtrack is like an ancient forest full of dangers. You can hear the trees whispering, listening to the breaking of heavy branches and the rustling of dead leaves. Sometimes it buzzes menacingly, like a startled hornet's nest, then muffled rumbling, a rockfall sounds similar, and repeatedly pierced a few hard piano chords the feverish pieces, the paw swipes a predator equal.
The soundtrack evokes a frightening atmosphere up, which one can hardly escape.
A music that lurks in secret, the handset prowls in circles ever closer, and then all of a sudden strike. Nevertheless, fine melodies are woven into all threatening, inconspicuous softnesses, but keep pleasantly in the background, so that the composition tilts at any time into sentimentality. The yearning country song of Ryan Bingham at the beginning seems, lost in the gloom around a bit, but is still very worth listening to.
"Joe" is a soundtrack hard as an ax, dark as a Kafkaesque nightmare, yet with light interwoven moments. Definitely not to fall asleep, but a manifesto of darkness. Cold and beautiful.
