I bought the H-PS14042 for my Panasonic Lumix GF3 and have not been disappointed. It has nominally the same specifications as the standard lens H-FS014042 is however much more compact. It is almost in the range of pancake lenses. With this lens, the GX series, the GF3 will finally bag fit. The H-FS014042 was always too bulky to me. The lower battery time for the zoom function in everyday life falls negligible. Important for me in a camera is the rapid availability for snapshots. In this discipline the combination beats all my previous compact cameras. The objective I have in past holiday getetstet extensively in the high mountains and jungles at about 3000 photos and am absolutely thrilled at just 2 lens disorders. The video function is with me rather of minor importance.
Conclusion: Successful combination I do not want to miss. Through this lens, the concept of waiver to the hot shoe of the GF3 is only really around.
