Then I finally found this Cloer Sandwich Maker with the shell shape, which not so strong compressing the sandwich. It is particularly helpful for this, above all, still the three-step lock of the shutter. We use double for toasts only the first catch.
The non-stick coating is not black and glossy, like a layer of lacquer, but it is silvery-gray and slightly rough, so it makes the impression that it was not only a thin layer with a wooden spatula gets scratches at the slightest touch.
We stuck exactly to the statement, so the slices of toast on the * outside * thinly with butter, and cover with cheese slices inside and what a just still occurs. Even a slice of pineapple from a can between two slices of cheese between two slices of toast still fits in, although then already something must press the close, to reach the top notch. But the result is great.
The central hinge of the lid makes a very robust and is certainly a better solution than two small hinges left and right, as the two had mentioned cheap equipment respectively.
To clean, I recommend not to the tip in the statement to be addressed, but with a good wet thicker dishcloth to clean the worst off right after take out the sandwiches, because then it is not encrusted.
The display works exactly as described, only that you should not expect after the close, the display immediately changes from green to red as it could be construed as to instructions erroneously. It may take 20 to 30 seconds before the display after inserting the sandwiches and closing the cover of changes from green to red. If you open the device then as described in the instructions, when the indicator turns green again, the sandwiches are ideal tanned!
All in all we feel to finally have a viable Sandwich Maker, and can highly recommend this unit! :)
