I do not have this sandwich maker, but the direct predecessor model FDK441. However, the units are virtually identical except for the supplemented on / off switch. I had bought the unit about 2.5 years ago, but only about 10 times briefly in use (for a total of about 40-50 sandwiches) From the handling and baking results, there are no, or only small criticism. Had a clear 5 star rating for me. Unfortunately, I must now assess with only one star and even is out because of the following still too much the device: As, unfortunately, in various other recessions in this and commented the predecessor device, even to me is terminated without improper use of the locking clip and the device is therefore no longer usable. There is clearly a material error, which was not resolved in the new model. Since there are no spare parts according Krups (for whatever reason not) should I send the unit to the manufacturer for inspection. In response, I received the following 3 choices: 1) repair the device for 24.99 2) unfree return 3) scrapping of the equipment
In Version 1, it would then be about 30 (incl. My first Porto) Version 2 is probably a bad joke Version 3 it will certainly be, unfortunately, since the new price is just over 40 and the clip probably will not hold back long.
In short, I can not only advise each from purchasing this device!
