Finally a successful Far Cry ...

We remember: Far Cry 1 - a simple shooter with time very good engine. More was not there. Shooting, shoot, shoot in beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, towards the end very unrealistic (to incorporate a change there were monsters / aliens). Far Cry 2 - technically a treat. Games Technically unfortunately more boring (I have used a few weeks and played the game every now and then). In essence, it came from A to B to walk or drive and gun down anyone. On the way through the beautiful countryside you shot a bit through the area or ran over his opponents. More was there really. Far Cry 3 now makes some things differently and bring the franchise forward.

Story in short: You're a young guy who wants to make a little party with his friends. Because you have enough coal, you let it rip correctly. Flight, parachuting and island feeling. Unfortunately, you were probably not quite up to date with regard to the tourist attractions on the island. You and your friends end up in the hands of pirates who earn their money as drug and human traffickers. But the machinations of the pirates are not only criminal but also with a serving of sadism / madness "blessed". Your escape is the only can and plans from now on your friends to liberate and can, if you like, take revenge accordingly. The story is well told and kept consistently interesting!

Positive: The game is basically quite a classic first person shooter. However, there are the stupid shoot some nice benefits. First, the story and the actions of the characters in the game understandable and feels authentic. The setting is very well advised. The voices are equally good or even better than the English originals. The music ranges from rock to classically. The island feels authentic - vegetation, sand and steppe sections. Fits wonderfully. You can also develop quite rudimentary his character in addition to shoot. Of course, this assumes no Bioshock forms - but is still made interesting and quite enough. In addition, you can to the main missions do many side missions and thus earn a lot of money to do so. The one must not make because if you keep your eyes open something you have always enough money. This is perhaps one of the criticisms - it's too fast and a little too easy to make yourself. On the first pass I would loosely fix 20 hours - if you can enjoy the story, shop around a little and make a few side missions. Rusht you through the game you are in by far less.

Negatives: From Console view it must be said that the game was of course developed on the PC (this is at all so). However, you have it optimized for the PC (so it seems at least) and then adjusted against the trend on the consoles. In other words, one has accomplished something graphically impressive and then had to break down at all corners and ends. Other developers develop directly for consoles and then shovel for modern PC's on top. The consequence for console gamers: Frameinbrüche and partly muddy textures and aufpoppende objects. I take it once a ZIP code - but also see the age of the consoles and assume that would have been much more also not feasible.

I do not want to reveal too much. But a buy recommendation I can very clearly pronouncing!
