Finally passts for Aspire Switch 10 FHD / 012!

In the 3rd trial I now have the shell of Gecko Covers (Blue) for my Acer Aspire Switch 10 FHD / SW5-012 bought and can finally say that it is about the way they should be.
The new design of the FHD versions, the connections were a mirror image built by Acer and this is taken into account by Gecko Cover (if you ordered the right sleeve). The connections are now accessible even speakers and WebCam are not covered, or have passages.
The mountings of the tablet portion of the lower edge are thin enough so that the docking keyboard works fine (I type just on it) and also holds the magnetic holder.
The keyboard (by with two leather triangles attached) can be solved with a portion of the cover with two snaps from the tablet part, the buttons are then, however, unprotected (if necessary turn the keyboard for transport?).
It is noticeable that some have reported: The cover is made quite thin and stiff leatherette (smell goes so) and the rubber feet on the bottom there are no recesses, which is why they shall follow the underside of the cover to bumps. Me personally does not bother so much (not shaking on the table and almost falls on), but I have a fear that the rubber feet when frequent installation and removal of the cover, drop significantly earlier than usual (for example, if you actually the keyboard degrades to transport and protect turns).
The dual function (Laptop + Tablet Cover) there is a third part, which can protect the screen, and is folded when using behind the display. Then it acts a bit disturbing, because it eg around labbert, or possibly an opposite (on the train) space takes away, but it has the additional function. Another small drawback seems to be that the device gets back as laptop through the long lever slightly overweight to, and not quite sure is (one probably partly due to the non-consideration of the rubber feet?). Also I find tolerable, since it is only a little, and decreases when the folded-back lid resting on the table, thereby stabilizing the laptop.

Additional: On the back of the tablet cover a tab is to fix the folded screen protectors, so the tablet unit can be used in the cover in two other variants. The positions are similar to those in Apple's Smart Cover for the iPad, almost lying, the top 5 cm increase good, or almost upright. However, the mechanism at Apple more elegant and sophisticated. At least that's the position more comfortable than lying completely flat and ensure the tablet can not fall over it. :-)

I've been using since 2.5 years an iPad 2 and have it (and some other Tablets) already several, relatively inexpensive buy (10) Cover. They have compared to Gecko Cover usually quite soft and thick protective layer for the display in the lid and the rear tablet was securely clamped in quite stable plastic, what a real protection against scratches, represents even at the edges. This function has the Gecko Cover apparently not! The edges are more or less free and if ever covered by thin leather. Only the display (in the tablet version) works similarly well protected, since the cover according to stable, albeit slightly thinner (less cushioned mat) appears. For a transport in a backpack with books, documents, or even smaller devices, it seems to be sufficient. The top and bottom in Latop format are Natl. protected in a similar way, but it is just thick PU leather, for example, only to scratches and weak selective exposure. A fall off the table or more selective forces can not hold the cover securely.
I'll keep the cover, although there were improvements in some places and it is medium-priced! I have long been looking for a cover that the ports are not covered and the Variabiltät not too restricting. You can use the Aspire Switch both as a tablet as well as laptop cover and also the conversion is hardly difficult (2 push buttons). The Aspire switch is protected during transport, still ready to go (had been out of necessity a NeoprenSleve, from which one had to unpack it first), and it is also protected if you push it once on the table, or you look at it this time just close. If you want genuine leather must pay significantly more (for me anyway just keep cover 1-2 years), for which one would have to find first time a matching! This is the first, unsuccessful after 2 attempts for me. For "only" about 30 Leatherette (incl. Shipping) act only times quite a lot, on the other hand is the two-in-one function is somewhat more complex and apparently, the market is not so big.
