In Love and Death (Audio CD)

Customer Review

At last the long-awaited second album of the Americans in front of me. Musically has not changed so much, fortunately, at most one is still become a bit more melodic. Of course, the main focus is on Bert McCracken's melancholically aggressive singing, musical you move as usual somewhere between rock and hardcore (and emo, punk and nu-metal), but without resorting to the clichés. Even one or two acoustic guitar finds its place on the shekel. The very first song (and also the first video extraction) "Take It Away" goes full on the 12, and also the subsequent song "I Caught Fire" is not really bad. When quiet "All That I've Got" come discreet strings are used. Other highlights include the driving "Listening" which is simply beautiful "Yesterday Feelings", the catchy "It's Hard To Say", the Nu-Metal Hammer " Sound Effects And Overdramatics "(what a cry * g *) and the jazzy" Lunacy Fringe ". The final track "I'm A Fake" brings the whole CD music again to the point!
Conclusion: A very good follow-up to the self-titled debut, unfortunately examined one such About songs like "The Taste Of Ink" or "Buried Myself Alive" on this disk in vain. Nevertheless, a successful, varied album that all who have the first fruits on the shelf, can define.
