Taylor Swift - an inventory after the 2nd album

I think I belong neither to the audience nor to ordinary fans of Taylor Swift - I'd have to be 25 years younger namely well. Nevertheless (or perhaps because of it) is Taylor Swift my personal musical discovery of the year. If you (like me) has under his belt already for almost 40 years, then you have real memories of great albums from the period in which one has grown up with me ... those were the 80s. But now and then, very rarely, one runs again today an album on the way, that compete with the old memories, and even may also grow. Taylor Swift's album Fearless is one of those rare musical highlights.

I do not want to go into individual tracks, because the whole album is as a unified whole. The decoupled singles "Love Story" and "You belong to me" might sting actually as songs with the most hit potential out but that's why they're still no better or worse than any other song on this album, including 6 bonus tracks on this Platinum Edition.

Until a few weeks I knew Taylor Swift did not, and I thought it would just be something like another Britney Spears. Then I heard, however, more by accident a couple of songs from their first album "Taylor Swift" and from then on it was musically confess to me. At that time I did not know who or what she looks like Taylor Swift - only her voice and beautiful songs have pulled me out of the synagogue. And as I have to say quite clearly that I actually tend more in the direction of electronic and dance and no Gitarrenpop- or even country music fan'm (perhaps occupy my other reviews). But this album is a masterpiece here, even if it is only (or perhaps because of this) well-crafted pop music!

If you ask other people for their opinion on the music, then often oscillates but with the knowledge that they are 20 years of curly blonde Taylor Swift (and how should be able to make the already really good music?)!
However, when I first album and this together take here, then I have 33 songs, none of which is bad or falls. It should be mentioned that Taylor Swift

- Their songs all himself writes,
- This album has co-produced,
- A fully extensive guitar and piano player is,
- Their texts from their real life takes (and even real names used)
- Has even designed the Booklett this CD itself.

All this I mention because they just so pleasant as sets itself apart from all the other pop star by a mile. It is neither subject to any producers nor of songwriters or image consultants. What we get here offered Taylor Swift and nothing more. The only one who can stop her triumph it is self - or possibly the media.
Taylor is admittedly also very pretty (what her career so far certainly helped even more than has harmed), but she has no need to convince with physical stimuli sodern does so alone with her charisma and her music.

So this Platinum Edition is then a reflection of her talent. Great abilities as a songwriter, combined with a sound really clean production plus a voice that perhaps not one of the technically best voices, but a kind of goes to the heart - all of which can be found on Fearless. And would not this CD by Taylor Swift but I care about a band called Silbermond, they would already have been at No. 1 in Germany.

The album runs under the heading Country, which I would not necessarily sign. Rather guitar pop (partly skirt) with country elements. At least, it is not Teeniepop - although many teens are just a fan of Taylor Swift.
My absolute recommendation on this album is the ballad Breathe, which was, oddly enough, not released as a single (which is probably due to the American music market). For the first time dive will also string arrangements in a Taylor Swift song on which I have missed so much on the also wonderful song "Teardrops on My Guitar" on the 1st album.

Finally, a note to all the existing versions of Fearless:

This one-reviewed Deluxe Edt. is available in German stores as Platinum Edition and contains 6 tracks more than the original Fearless plus a DVD with videos, making ofs and a few other extras (which ultimately only testify that Taylor Swift a normal heart, likeable young woman).

The normal version of Fearless, which can be bought in Germany is not the original but the international edition. This differs in that the songs were reworked slightly continental (ie even less country elements) and the fact that 3 songs from the first album in revised versions also available as a bonus with it are. I personally like the international version really is better, but I am as I said not a country music fan.

This Platinum Edition is but again the original disc (ie unprocessed copies) with 6 bonus tracks and the DVD to. Alone because of the 6 new songs it is worth buying in my opinion. I have just this version, as well as the international edition of normal CD and think this is the best combination, because then both all original and all reworked versions has.

I hope Taylor Swift maintains its ability to write such beautiful songs. The fear that this could not be so if they grow older and increasingly borne by the dark side of fame to her is - I believe - not entirely unfounded. But until then I wish me only more of this all-round talent, and a new album is created well after the American tour in the summer / fall of 2010, because she herself holds a 2jahres-rhythm between albums for ideal and as I said: The good that they themselves ultimately the well chooses!
