My personal problem with Jambo has always been that it collect in principle without any strategy with simple and persevering card combinations and interpret was winnable and every strategy, however took too long to be effective. So Jambo is at the end of a gamble - who quickly matching pairs of cards will win. With Asante is finally different!
There are much more effective objects and people to play and there are fewer goods cards. For a more tactical game is possible. Also, interactive events and actions - it affects cards more often and actions (or gold) the enemy and must from time to really focus on the cards and objects of the enemy to fight instead of just dull to collect goods cards. (I love here the new Voodoo card!) There are also new "holy places" bring in an additional tactical element.
At the end you can actually play effectively against an opponent who only modest attempts to collect goods cards. I once even won over 70 gold, while regularly buy goods in the game only once. Does not turn the opposite here also his playing style to, he has no chance against a good tactic. This makes Asanta finally to a much more sophisticated and erwachsenerem game as it was Jambo.
If you play Asante independently, one has thus a very tactical and challenging version of Jambo. Who collects only warescards and interactions out of the way goes, who loses with security. Asante alone is rather Jambo Chess. If you mix the cards of both games together, you get a good mix of both, which, depending on how many of Asanta actions you pull out of the pile, sometimes more or less may turn tactically and ensures even more variety and game variations.
In conclusion I would therefore classify Asante as a single game even better than Jambo and give full 5 stars. Jambo is solely my opinion fulfilling playable for gamers even with this extension. Even as an extension for Jambo so full 5 stars!
