Mir has risen against short with an original Arduino 3.3V voltage transformer in flames. This could be dangerous unless the Arduino near flammable materials are installed as wood housing. I have operated my Arduino with a 12V power supply. 2 other Arduinos still run smoothly in the same configuration.
Original & Nachbaute:
Buys the Arduino is what sent by Amazon itself. Cost point about 23 Euro. If you ordered a cheaper offer from sellers from China or GB you will get a cheap replica. The names of these replicas also Arduino is actually illegal.
Evident are the cheap because the Arduino is the label a little thinner and larger. Additional property on the back instead of "Made in Italy", "Design in Italy". The originals are in fact produced in Italy. High resolution product photos for comparison can be found at [...].
What you can expect at a cheap imitation? As such, a fully functional Arduino. However, it is questionable how long this will work. For me, the voltage transformers are not to be used. The original model can with 5V - 18V to operate. The 2 cheap replicas come with me clear only operate at 5V. In 12v they do not even work.
