This book is the first of the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn Trilogy. As a German native speaker One of my hobbies is reading English Fantasy Books. I must admit it did what hard to get a start with this book. Williams is using manyother phrases probably from mid-age and has a completely Call different vocabulary than other fantasy authors, so it was very demanding till i got used to his writing, i wonder if its easier for native speakers ... The first book got a lengthy intro in Which the characters and the living at the Hayholt is Described Sometimes I asked myself if there is coming any action soon, but after you have eaten through this pages, the world is forming and your diving in a excellent story whichwill ban you for many hours. It is a book worth reading with many interesting characters and a demanding (sometimes a little too lengthy) story, Be sure to get the whole series if you liked the first book, the others are even more gripping.
The Trilogy contains four books (if you got the paperback edition) Which Might Be irritating: Dragonbone Chair. Stone of Farewell. To Green Angel Tower Part 1 (Victory) To Green Angel Tower Part 2 (Storm) I ordered the first 3 and missed the first load ;-).
Tad Williams is one of my favorite authors alongwith: Raymond E. Feist (Riftwar Saga), Terry Brooks (Shannara Series) JRR Tolkien
