Alex and Conner are two endearing and interesting characters and it's fun to follow them through the world of fairy tales, particularly Conner is in my opinion particularly entertaining.
The ending was a surprise for me, however, I was right in some other plots, but this has no effect on my overall opinion of the book.
Since this book is in English, I want to lose a few words to it. The sentences are easy to understand, they are not as strong interlaced that you lose the thread. It could be that some words may have to be looked up. Was with me not, but I could imagine that this could be different with other readers.
Finally, let me explain why I have awarded 4 and not 5 stars. The plot and dialogue are great, it would have to be invested into the editing a little more time, but this does not fall so much weight, if one keeps in mind that this is the first book by Chris Colfer.
So I can only recommend this book.
