In my case Video8 tapes should be digitized from old camcorder to DVD ... My Equipment: MacBookPro from 2013 Boot Camp Windows 7 ...
At this point I will be brief: D
- Lt Description MAC Support = outright lie -. There is no official MAC Support for this part
(On the chipset, come later on back) nor from Logilink!
-.. Lt Description incl ULead software, even standing on the CD = Drin is "Honestech VHS to DVD" ??? (See Pictures)
- Connected to the MAC, software on the CD (Windows only), try software for Mac, device is recognized by Mac but
not by the software ....
- Thanks to Apple's Boot Camp is connected to my Windows 7 partition, recognized driver is wanted, driver CD went without problems !!!
- Software installed on under Win (was supposed to be Ulead VideoStudio) but was Honestech VHS to DVD ... :-(
After the first blue screen and restart attempts, getüfftelt somewhat to the settings and connected camcorder, Play and behold .... a picture .... but terrible take on the quality and I've not even started ....
(No real color, stripes, picture distorted .... and as I said the only during playback ....
- Connected to the old television and cross-checked, images of former quality still good! So cable can not be broken ...
- Google uses to try to win other software ... Oh My God ... Please at this point BE CAREFUL !!!
in the most downloaded viruses hide without end ....
The following software under Windows 7 I've tried:
- Debut of NCH Software would work well when the S-Video input would be recognized ... setting can, however, make not save. The setting always jumps back to Composite and thus the image is gone!
- VirtualDub, WinDV and all the other nonsense belongs back in the bin .... Most programs can make the image material
not compress. The AVI files to bring in a minute tape betw. 50 and 100 MB out ....
- Of all the expensive purchase versions I've stayed away ... Corel Studio Pro, Magix, etc.
- AVS Video Recorder has, I liked the most ... the "Recorder" is freeware and does a pretty good picture!
All in relation to the price of VideoGrabbers :)
Now back to the MAC, for the heck Yes on OS X without causing blue screen ....

Came out:
- Logilink is actually a abgekupferter EasyCap ...?!?!? What is it ... A grabber which is available in 100 different variations .... copied 100 times .... Now what is the original .... ??? It is "EZCAP hot" ... I do not know !!!
- Again plugged into your Mac, device is indeed recognized, not a problem only the software will not:
In the system information will still only "usbtv007" appear?!?!?! What is that ??? Yes, the grabber from Logilink ....
-Next Googled: Found [...] = EasyCapViewer for Mac .... If the driver for the Mac
with equal supply ... Okay ... try, software goes, device is not recognized ....!
- And now ??? Next read about Troubleshootng and supported devices: In the Error Log then the redemption,
it is a "fushicai usbtv007"?!?!? So what is that ??? Maintenance as a abgekappter EasyCap chipset from China .... Well ...
- Next tasted and discovered coming updates in text ... Support for fushicai ... Download here .. Juhu ...
But .... only NTSC, PAL .... no pity ....
- Other software you do not bekommts for MAC without deep into their pockets ....
- So, that was it for the fushicai usbtv007 Video Grabber ... stop, the call the Yes LogiLink VG0001A
Conclusion Windows: - it can be with the right to use software, but you will not be happy with it ....
Conclusion MAC: - there is no official support for the things Apple ... all the drivers are developed thanks to some people even
and work well, not only with the LogiLink part here ....
PS Possible are older MAC's but what I work I can not imagine there will be due to the chipset
I give Him back love and buy myself one of the really under MAC Supported, see list below mentioned website ...
Everything else is a waste of time!
