I have carefully read 6-7 match reports before buying and it was always the language of "a sophisticated combat system" or a high degree of difficulty. So I have no sympathy for the bad reviews because of this difficulty.
For game mechanics:
I recommend playing with the controller.
In this game, an opponent also corresponds to an opponent. Who expected a game in which one by running in 20 hours of play without 1 times should die fingers forsake them. I would play with Dark Souls 1-2 or 1-2 Darksiders compare. So as Dark Souls players can be found here handle quickly.
Graphics / atmosphere:
The graphics are great! Here and there a few small clipping errors. The atmosphere is great, the setting is very good and you can see the infatuation in detail.
Story:
After now 13 hours of play the game told me not really know much about the main protagonists or other NPCs. You could have made more out of it, but this game does not live (such as Mass Effect) of the story but by every opponent.
Technical information:
After the first few minutes in Lords of the Fallen had I screw the graphic down and saw how the recommended paging file expanded to 16GB, which directly led to the desired liquid flow game. This game is not technically mature and consumes far too much computing power (good 50-70% CPU speed).
My system:
AMD Phenom II 6kern with 3,7GHz clock (original 3.2GHz)
Asus Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard
8GB RAM
Asus GTX 760 Mars (2 GPU's in a map)
Conclusion:
A good game from the German game forge Deck13. Who once again a hard board wants and has no desire to soft flushed Blockbuster is right here!
Addendum:
I have a my RAM increased to 14GB now a whole corner, it runs better.
After I now have 28 hours of play behind me and have restarted with the same character the game (newgame +) is the degree of difficulty a little higher and now makes diehard Dark Souls players more fun!
