Fischertechnik what reasonable

I bought it for a six year old boy who likes to build something and thereby lets his imagination run wild.
I know Fischertechnik already from my childhood and was surprised to find that in terms of quality has changed nothing.
The boy likes this very modular because it can build different things, it moves something and he learns a lot about construction, drive, gears, etc. And the built models can be very good play on.
