So I bought here on Amazon a new muffler and these middle silencer.
He was Gefliefert in a large box in which he was loose in it, the ends were protected with some cardboard. The box itself looked badly out taken, since it is but is a massive center silencer made of metal, this has survived transport without significant damage.
The mounting hardware shown in the photo was so complete it and complete.
Today I was in a workshop Do it Yourself and have exchanged a complete layman in 1 1/2 hours the old against the new exhaust.
The biggest obstacle was not the installation, but the expansion of the old without tearing the screws.
During installation, no problems arose, it has everything exactly the way we fit provided. The middle silencer is not on, but is mounted nicely on the gums. The connections I have sealed with FireGum.
I can not say at this point about the long-term durability, but at this price I'm just happy if it 2 - lasts 3 years.
If you then compared the prices in the VW look at workshop, all the more.
6 years ago I had renew the exhaust system for the last time and despite a lot of times the sum it has held up even 6 years. Now I've done it myself and could call me for the price VW loose afford 2 complete plants.
Should problems arise, or news, I'll adjust my review.
