My children have on each one for the school and bubble up quickly in the morning itself water and a little syrup mix into it - depending on your taste. I understand all the reviews not claiming they could not bubble up. Works without problems - even my 9-year-old daughter can handle it easily. We have a Sodastream Cool device and are super happy. I also prefer a star just off due to lack of dishwasher suitability.
