Five games. A Box.

That's the slogan of this article. And it is true: Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2 - five fantastic games in an outrageously cheap box. For each game the following comments:

Half-Life 2 + EP1 + EP2:
Half-Life - who does not know. Even the first part was terrific. Half-Life 2 along with extensions sets this success continues seamlessly. HL2 is not only pure Geballere, no: It is to solve puzzles to play with physics to drive various vehicles and in some places it is scary. The story is just perfect.
The newly added Episode Two is no exception. Everything is just right. Solely the short cycle time of about 5-6 hours to complain but to cope.

Portal:
What was started in Half-Life 2 with the Gravitygun and Physikspielchen, is perfected in Portal. The principle is easy to explain: Man shoots a portal in the wall 1 and a portal in the wall 2 is now running in the wall 1 portal, you come out of the wall 2 portal out again. And all now in the three-dimensional world. Here it goes haywire. Portal is the only game in the Orange Box, which is not a first-person shooter in the true sense. I can say without spoilers: The game is not just a mind game. As the game progresses there will be more to develop something entirely different. Again, the (very) short playing time falls to about 3 hours.

Team Fortress 2:
TF2 is a multiplayer shooter. There are 9 different classes with different skills. It's just fun to compete at one of more than 2,000 servers with other players.

Conclusion: Such a thing has never happened before. A box with such good games. Each game also enthusiastic about his own way. Half-Life offers a gripping story with very good gameplay. With Portal you experienced puzzles from easy to difficult. In Team Fortress 2 you can experience exciting online games with human players. This box is simply perfect. The Orange Box is one in any decent games.

Note: While Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One have come in Germany uncut on the market and are uncut and look here, the other 3 games are cut. That's why I recommend here to order a UK or US Import. Because that the censorship is related to the Key: The Key to the German version is different from the keys of the other countries. If you activate this key in Steam, "white" Steam that one comes from Germany and you get an additional file given that censor the 3 new games. If you BSW. a UK-Key enabled, you do not get this file, and the games are uncut.
The language sets you on Steam, which means you can also play with the UK or US version in German (or Russian, etc.).
