Flyleaf - The beginning of a new era

Rock bands, there are as many as the sand by the sea, as it is quite difficult to maintain an overview and to know everything. But which band to be missed are not originating from Texas Flyleaf. Since 2000 frontwoman Lacey Nicole Mosley and her colleagues make music around merrily, but the five-member crew had until 2005 the possibility of their Self Titled Debut Album to release. Now at us on a journey through a mix of alternative rock, nu metal and post grunge with Christian-inspired lyrics waiting.

Hard and aggressive guided us with the band "I'm so sick" in the album into the Lacey adds the finishing touches with shouts and gloomy vocal parts. Likewise, before bursting Power "Fully Alive" just so therefore that invites you to stay by the powerful electric guitars and Laceys fellow voice. With tempo richer Dums and beautiful melody supplements we get the next two songs "Perfect" and "Cassie" cut around the ears - the fetzt right! It continues with "Sorrow", which is a perfect blend of brutal, but also more relaxed elements. During the chorus, the electric guitars electrify the listener, there are verses during quieter moments with slow drums and wonderful hold in the background tunes. A number tempered drives then "I'm Sorry" at the full VA Lacey's wutenbrannte screams towards the end of the tracks are a brilliant but it seemed a shock final conclusion. Now comes my favorite song on the album called "All Around Me", at the same time the most successful single release from the album of the group. The instrumental is a veritable rush of rolling drums and great aufspielenden guitars that bring an unforgettable melody with it, this gives us Lacey with her wonderful voice goosebumps feeling! Also on the next track "Red Sam" you realize that we have now arrived at a more relaxed phase of the album which makes for nice break for the first part of the album. While "Red Sam" begins with wild, through other gambling guitars and drums but gets during the individual verses a prime chill grade awarded. With "There For You" provide us with a poignant Flyleaf rock ballad from the Lacey well emotionally to accompany white. Fullminant suggests then "Breathe Today" in our orbit one, hard guitar riffs and Lacey with serious and dirty face carved in the joyful atmosphere of the last songs a really sharp contrast inside - awesome. The end of the album of original releases provides another grueling rock ballad called "So I thought" whose glorious sounds one will get very difficult to back out of his head.
In the original release, we would here come to the end, but as the label A & M under the Flyleaf signed with Octone Records are worked decided to bring out a re-release of the album under the new label partner. This includes moving acoustic versions of some songs and is available in 3 versions:

I'm just huge enthusiastic about this album, even if I have to suffer the drawback to reviewing the UK version and I therefore compared to the US two acoustic songs as well as the DVD is missing, but Well you can not have everything. Who wants to hear good alternative rock with hard but also relaxed songs might be the right place for Flyleaf and also the brand new album "Memento Mori" which was released on Tuesday, I can put you only warmly recommend.
