Musically there, apart from the usual line-up changes at * Iced Earth *, virtually nothing new. What * but not necessarily what may be called bad at * Iced Earth. Jon Schaffer has as usual the typical mix of power and thrash metal and refined it with heavy metal. A concept that very well go up in the 90s and brilliant albums spawned, but since * horror show * somewhat faltered.
The album starts strongly with Dystopia * * and * * Anthem, holds with * Dark City *, * Days Of Rage *, * Soylent Green * and * Tragedy And Triumph * High light more ready and can maintain a high musical level. However, not all new riffs and melodies, but it was here too much recycled from other songs. What the two-Something Wicked parts but looked a little like the half-baked revise old sheet music, works on Dystopia * * very good and very atmospheric.
CONCLUSION: 4 strong points ...
